Rosco’s is currently hiring for the summer season 2017. Start dates for summer employees vary from the end of April to mid-June. Summer employment contracts typically run through Labor Day weekend.

Rosco’s has limited employee housing on premises at a nominal weekly rate. There are also RV, camping options and house sharing opportunities within the community of Ninilchik. We will assist those with housing needs to the best of our ability. Let us know if you need our help.

Experience is helpful but training will be provided. Wages are dependent on experience and the position you are hired for. Most positions provide an end of season bonus upon summer season contract completion.

General Server Job Description:

  • Maintain dining room, restrooms and porch
  • Prep side salads, dressings, desserts and beverages for service
  • Stock and maintain togo products, BIBs and bottled beverages
  • Add to master prep list as you go
  • Meet and greet customers
  • Take orders, write tickets and serve beverages and foods
  • Cash out customers
  • Answer phone, take phone orders, prepare orders for takeout
  • Bus tables and restock serviceware
  • Communicate with and assist fellow servers, cooks, supervisor and dishwasher
  • Maintain cleaning, safety, sanitation and quality standards
  • Complete sidework duties
  • Prepare end of shift report

General Dish/Prep Duties:

  • Prep salad and sandwich station
  • Cook menu items during peak times
  • Slice and portions meats and cheeses
  • Bake and wraps cookies
  • Wash and puts away dishes, pots & pans and utensils
  • Sweep, mop and maintain floors
  • Trash and parking lot detail
  • Maintain cleaning, safety and sanitation standards
  • Communicate with and assist cook
  • Communicate with and assist supervisor and servers

General Cook Duties:

  • Prep and cook menu items
  • Prep and cook specials
  • Prep and/or cook batch recipes
  • Maintain cleaning, safety and sanitation standards
  • Communicate with and assist dish/prep person
  • Communicate with and assist supervisor and servers
  • Sweep and maintain floors
  • Update master prep list as you go
  • Prepare for and communicate with next shift
